Saugatuck to spend greater than $100K on beach cleaning

SAUGATUCK, Mich. — Saugatuck has determined to put money into a seaside cleansing computer to be able to improve visitors' event at Oval seaside.

The Holland Sentinel reports that the Saugatuck city Council on Monday night authorised the buy of greater than $a hundred,000 value of gadget. The metropolis will spend very nearly $fifty four,000 on a beach cleaner and an further $fifty five,000 on a tractor to tug it.

Saugatuck metropolis manager Kirk Harrier says the seaside cleaner might be used 3 times every week to clear litter and debris from Oval seaside.

He says different seashore community leaders on Lake Michigan have their beaches cleaned as a minimum thrice a week.
