Yearbook photograph misnames scholar in hijab as 'Isis,' sparking outrage - KGO-television

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. --

Yearbooks are on sale at Los Osos high faculty in Rancho Cucamonga - a memento for many graduating seniors.

however to one scholar photographed donning a hijab, the yearbook is an insult.

She is not 11th grader Isis Phillips. but that's how her image in the yearbook recognized her.

She posted the photograph on fb with the caption:"i'm extremely saddened, disgusted, harm and embarrassed that the Los Osos high college yearbook become able to get away with this. curiously i'm 'Isis' within the yearbook. The faculty reached out to me and had the audacity to claim that this changed into a typo. i urge to differ, let's be precise."

ABC news isn't releasing the teen's precise name, as a result of a pal tells us she and her family are not ready to handle the media at the present.
